Apartment in Morillon 1100, 50 minutes from Geneva, is just metres from the main ski lift ideal for skiers and snowboarders or for walking or mountain biking in the summer. Morillon is in the Grand Massif the forth-largest area in France. An interconnected village with 70 lifts to Flaine, Les Carroz, Samoëns and Sixt giving you over 265km of skiing with 20 green runs, 65 blues and reds and 14 black runs. Everyone’s favourite run is Marvel a 5km green run through the trees which ends in the village. For 2017 considerable expansion of the Grand Massif ski area with the development of the Coulouvrier Bowl between Samoens and Morillon. With the creation of 4 new ski runs (2 blue runs followed by 2 red runs for the 2018/19 winter season), equating to the addition of 42 hectares of pistes to the ski area. A new 6-seater, detachable Coulouvrier chairlift, departing from 1200m and arriving at 2120m. With a record length of 2850m, this will be the longest lift of its kind in Europe, transporting skiers in just 10 minutes at a rate of 3000 passengers per hour an snow-making with the 70 new snow canons to cover the new ski area.
The apartment is on the 5th floor of one of the original buildings in Morillon 1100 also known as Les Esserts. There’s a good-sized lobby as you enter, with plenty of room for coats, shoes and boots. The stairs then lead you to a large living area with views of the mountain. Here is a well-equipped kitchen a lounge area leading to the balcony, there is plenty seating in the lounge and at the dining room table. Off the living area there are 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, a separate shower room, and a WC. An additional 3 single beds are on the mezzanine.
We also have a garage which you’ll find next to the main entrance of Criou 2 the building our apartment is in. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lift.
The ski locker is on the second floor so just put on your boots pick up your skis or snowboard walk up a 15 metres path to ski down the Sairon chair lift. The ticket office and ESF ski school are behind the tele-cabin/gondola station a 2-minute walk from the level 2 exit.
When you have finished skiing you can ski to the locker room door, no more carrying skis.
