We started skiing in Morillon in 2003 where we had another apartment in the village. In 2006, we had the opportunity to buy a larger apartment, which we refurbished and have enjoyed many holidays in Criou 2. We visit throughout the year as Morillon 1100 has a lovely family atmosphere and during the winter and July and August the restaurants, hire shops and supermarket open.
We ski with all our children the older 2 are in their twenties and the younger 2 are teenagers and there’s plenty of skiing and boarding for every level. For 2017 there will be a new 6 man lift with new blue runs from Samoëns and Morillon going to it and two reds in 2018.
The apartment is spacious so you can all relax comfortably after a day on the mountain. If you don’t ski or perhaps only like to ski for a few hours a day you can make the most of the beautiful mountain view from the balcony, or sit in one of the nearby restaurant with a drink and watch the world go by.
In the summer, you can walk over to the swimming pool (open 2 -6 pm) for a free swim.
There is a tennis court, and basketball/football court just below the large car park. A small playground for under 8’s and a table tennis table is near the shops or just enjoy walking around the hillside village. Just below the apartment there is the “Village des Enfants” that welcomes children from 6 months to less than 8 years old throughout the winter season, skiing for the over 3’s day care centre offers an introduction to skiing for children aged 4 to 6. The ski lessons are taught by ESF instructors who hold a state diploma.

Notes on accommodation: Unfortunately, there isn’t any Wi-Fi in the building, it is available in the pub and at “France Loc” near the supermarket. The apartment has under-floor heating with additional heaters in each room, the living area also has an electric flame effect electric fire. There are 2 electric towel rails in the bathroom and 1 in the shower room and a towel rail in the 3rd bedroom with the shower. There is a coffee machine, kettle and toaster and all the kitchen equipment you should need. Outside: We have a balcony where you can sit and have a glass of wine and a meal while enjoying the views, and the sun shines on it most of the day so even in the winter, it is a great spot to watch the skiers and boarders while you relax. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We would like guest to leave the apartment as clean and tidy as they have found it, removing all the rubbish. A deposit will be taken and returned on inspection of the apartment after the keys are returned.
